Oliver Bearman can capture an all-time F1 record in the Hungarian Grand Prix - but only if he fails to score any points.
The Haas driver is on a remarkable run of finishing the last four grands prix - in Canada, Austria, Britain, and Belgium - in 11th place.
That run of grand prix finishes from Bearman ties the all-time F1 record for most consecutive finishes in a position other than first.
And Bearman can take that unwanted record, if he narrowly misses out on points again, after qualifying for the Budapest race in....would you believe, 11th place!
The Briton currently holds the record with eight other drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and Valtteri Bottas.
When questioned about the possibility of breaking the record by RacingNews365, Bearman initially claimed he "didn't want to know" before promising that "I'll try not to" when informed of the record possibility.
The record for most consecutive finishes in first place is currently held by Max Verstappen, who won 10 straight races from the 2023 Miami to Italian Grands Prix.
