Formula 1's newest circuit is beginning to take shape ahead of its debut this year, and never-before-seen images have been released as to how it will look.
For this season, the Spanish Grand Prix has a new home at the Madring, a 5.4-kilometre, 22-turn ‘hybrid’ venue, which utilises a mix of permanent circuit and the public roads around the IFEMA Madrid complex.
It will be the first time in 45 years that Madrid will host a grand prix since the race was staged at Jarama, a track 20 miles north of the city. The race will be staged from September 11-13.
Fans can now take stock as to how the venue will look once completed via an array of official renders, including 'La Monumental', the signature element of the track as it is a 550-metre, 24% banked corner.
There is also an image of the 589-metre main straight, on which cars will hit speeds of 320kph before reaching the first major braking zone. The distance from the start line to the first corner is just over 200 metres, which is expected to make it one of the key moments of the race.
