Chris Lulham, the driver who partnered Max Verstappen at the Nordschleife, has reacted to the pair's "incredible" debut victory.
Saturday's ninth round of the NLS Series also represented Lulham's first competitive appearance at the Nordschleife, while it was also Verstappen's GT3 debut.
The duo shared the #31 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari 296 GT3, which ran the Verstappen.com Racing colours.
Lulham's racing career started in karting and sim racing, but he has made strides in GT racing across the last couple of years.
Verstappen secured third on the grid for the #31, before taking the lead with a stunning move at the first corner.
The #31 then led the entirety of the four-hour race, with Verstappen completing the first two hours, before handing over to Lulham who brought the car home by over 20 seconds.
It was a famous moment for both drivers which left Lulham in disbelief after he pulled into parc fermé before the podium celebrations.
"It's incredible. I still can't believe it," said Lulham. "The car was fantastic.
"There was a lot of traffic, several accidents, and 'Code 60' situations, and that didn't make it easy for me. I'm incredibly happy.
"A big thank you to Verstappen.com Racing and Emil Frey Racing for providing this package, which allowed us to make such a strong debut in the NLS."
