Max Verstappen has ruled out participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year, despite it not clashing with any F1 event.
F1 announced its 2027 schedule last week, with Bahrain currently scheduled to kick off the season in mid-March.
However, the calendar notably avoids a clash with a number of major endurance events, including Le Mans and the 24-hour races around the Nurburgring and Spa-Francorchamps.
Having made his debut at the 24-hour event at the Nurburgring earlier this year, Verstappen is eager for another go and wants to tick Spa-Francorchamps off the bucket list.
“Nurburgring and Spa, probably,” Verstappen told media including RacingNews365 when asked about his 2027 endurance plans.
“Le Mans, that's not on my list for now. I said already, after the race at the Nordschleife, that I wanted to go back.
“If it allows me to prepare well, I know there is no clash, but it still needs to work out in my schedule, then I'll do it.
“And Spa is an exciting option.”

Verstappen hails unique Red Bull kart event
Prior to Verstappen's upcoming outing in Baku this weekend, the four-time champion took part in a unique event at Silverstone.
He faced off against 100 opponents in a kart race as part of an event held by Red Bull and came out on top after over 30 minutes of racing.
While it marked a major shift from the pressures of F1 or endurance racing, Verstappen stated he had a fun time.
“The first highlight was just to see everyone in really good spirits, having a great time, laughing a lot,” he said.
“That's for me the most important [thing] because these people, they're flying from all over the world. It's a big commitment for them as well to participate.
“Of course I know that for some, it's a dream, but still, you need to be there, and it's a big commitment for a lot of them.
“The whole content around was really, really cool. For me, it was just a challenge in general, starting in the back, overtaking, needing to respond quickly or react quickly, using your instincts.
“It's a bit like an adrenaline rush, and I don't mind that.”
