Max Verstappen's long-awaited competitive GT3 debut has been confirmed, and will take place this weekend at the Nordschleife.
After securing his Nordschleife racing license two weeks ago by taking part in a four-hour race with a scaled-back Porsche Cayman GT4 car, Verstappen will now put the official documentation use for the first time.
The four-time world champion will compete in the ninth race of the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Series (NLS), competing in a Ferrari.
Specifically, the Red Bull star will drive a Ferrari 296 GT3 car in the Verstappen.com Racing colours, run by Emil Frey Racing.
According to the official entry list, Verstappen will be partnered by Chris Lulham. The 27-year-old is expected to be in contention for victory, which would cement an unforgettable GT3 debut.
