Max Verstappen has hailed Red Bull for its Italian Grand Prix performance after he secured the team's first win in the post-Christian Horner era.
In the fastest F1 race of all time at 1hr:13m:23s, Verstappen was relatively untroubled after passing Norris on Lap 4 following their early battle for the lead.
The Dutchman beat Norris by 19.2 to record his first win since Imola in May on a day McLaren's team orders saga erupted following Norris's slow stop late on and Oscar Piastri being ordered to let Norris back through.
Reflecting on the first win of the post-Horner era after his sacking following the British GP, Verstappen hailed the team for its effort in securing its first win without Horner at the helm.
"It was a great day for us, and of course, Lap 1 was a bit unlucky, but then after that, we were flying, the car was really enjoyable.
"I could manage the pace quite well, and we pitted at the right time, and with the hard tyres at the end, I could push a bit more; they were a bit more resilient, and it was just fantastic execution by the whole team.
"The whole weekend we were on it, and it is super enjoyable to win here.
"There was a lot of fighting going on, and I could see the pace was there, and quite quickly got into the lead, and we will go step-by-step and race-by-race, but it was an unbelievable weekend."
