Max Verstappen revealed a "big problem" in that his race pace was poor on the opening day of the Mexico City Grand Prix, concerning the Dutchman ahead of Sunday.
The four-time world champion was replaced by rookie Arvid Lindblad in first practice, before topping the second session of the day.

Sergio Perez is set to test a 2023 Ferrari Formula 1 car, ahead of his comeback next season with Cadillac.
F1 will move to having 11 teams next year with the arrival of Cadillac, who are joining initially as a Ferrari customer outfit. Perez and Valtteri Bottas have joined the American squad on multi-year deals, to return to the grid in 2026.

Charles Leclerc says if he were to bet on the outcome of the 2025 drivers' championship, it would be for a McLaren driver, as Max Verstappen still faces a "significant" deficit.
