Max Verstappen has avoided being investigated for potentially impeding Lando Norris in the second free practice session at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Dutchman was noted by race control for blocking the McLaren driver at Turn 1 during the final hour of running on Friday at the Yas Marina Circuit.
However, the stewards reviewed it and opted not to take a closer look, with the cause of the incident some confusion between Verstappen and his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, over whether Norris was opening a push lap.
"You've got Norris... not opening a lap behind you. Or maybe he is... coming through," he said to the four-time F1 drivers' champion, who managed to pull to the inside in time whilst the British driver behind went off-track.
Nonetheless, Norris did his best to amp up the moment, saying to his McLaren crew: "What's this guy doing? I almost crashed."
The 11-time grand prix winner topped FP1, beating Verstappen by just eight-thousandths of a second.
With just this round left to contest, he leads the Red Bull driver by 12 points in the F1 drivers' standings.
His team-mate, Oscar Piastri, is still in contention, a further four points back.
