Superstar-in-the-making Kimi Antonelli stormed to a sublime sprint pole at during qualifying for the shortened race at the Miami International Autodrome.
The 18-year-old became the youngest pole-sitter in F1 history and heads into the sprint itself looking to break another record.
It will be a tough task for the Mercedes driver, who will have to hold off the fast-charging McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris if he is to triumph.
There will also be Max Verstappen separating him from team-mate George Russell, who could only go fifth quickest in the grid-setting session.
The one-third distance race will provide some indication as to what can be expected from Sunday's Miami Grand Prix, but all eyes will be on Antonelli out front.
