Lando Norris enters qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix as the favourite for pole position, having topped every session so far in Interlagos.
The championship leader was quickest in both free practice and Sprint qualifying, before winning an eventful Sprint race earlier on today.
It was a significant sprint race in the F1 drivers' title fight, as Oscar Piastri crashing out again has seen Norris' advantage increase to nine points.
The pressure is on Piastri to bounce back in qualifying, while Max Verstappen will also be targeting a better session after finishing the sprint in a frustrating fourth.
Mercedes have a strong package in São Paulo and could be a serious threat for the front row, unlike Ferrari who are in a world of difficulties.
What remains to be seen is if all 20 cars will take part in qualifying, particularly due to significant repairs being needed to both Franco Colapinto's and Gabriel Bortoleto's cars.
