Lewis Hamilton has been eliminated from Q1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, marking the third consecutive qualifying session he has been unable to reach Q2.
The Ferrari driver could only go P16 at the Yas Marina Circuit, having crashed his SF-25 in FP3 earlier in the day.
The seven-time F1 drivers' champion failed to escape being knocked out of the first part of qualifying at the Las Vegas and Qatar Grands Prix — and he also fell in SQ1 at the Lusail International Circuit, too.
It is the first time he has suffered three Q1 eliminations in a row since 2009, across the Monaco, Turkish and British Grands Prix, when he was racing for McLaren.
Hamilton was only 0.231s behind team-mate Charles Leclerc, who was fifth fastest in the opening part of the grid-setting session.
He was knocked out alongside Alex Albon, Nico Hulkenberg and the two Alpines of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.
