Lewis Hamilton has downplayed Ferrari's chances of Monaco Grand Prix glory, but has not ruled it out completely.
Owing to the Circuit de Monaco playing to the strengths of the SF-26 car with low-speed corners and a lack of required power, Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc have been tipped to compete for a first grand prix win of the season.
Ferrari's rivals, including defending race winner Lando Norris, have specifically name-checked the Scuderia when discussing the favourites for the Principality, as Hamilton himself highlighted another rival in contention in addition to Ferrari.
"I would say this track would be better for us than some of the others," Hamilton observed to media, including RacingNews365.
"Because the straight lines we had, for example, in Montreal, we lose quite a lot of time, and obviously here we would lose a lot less.
"I don't think power is necessarily going to be so much of an issue.
"Our car is good at low speeds, so I think we will be competitive.
"I don't necessarily think we will be the quickest, especially with Mercedes' upgrade at the last race, but I think we will be competitive."
