Charles Leclerc will be investigated at the end of the second practice session over an issue regarding "tyre usage".
The investigation was announced just a handful of minutes into second practice ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, as rain started to fall.
Most drivers ventured out onto the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, whilst Leclerc exited the pits on a set of intermediates.
However, the circuit was yet to be classed by the stewards as wet, with that expected to be what the issue is with Leclerc and Ferrari.
According to Article 30.5.L: "During any free practice session intermediate and wet-weather tyres may only be used after the track has been declared wet by the Race Director, following which intermediate, wet or dry-weather tyres may be used for the remainder of the session."
Leclerc has been summoned to visit the stewards after the session.
