Beyond becoming the youngest driver to ever lead the F1 world drivers' championship with his victory in the Japanese Grand Prix, Kimi Antonelli's win was significant for another reason.
After just about converting his pole to victory, Antonelli scored the 500th win from pole position in the history of the world championship.
Of the 1,152 grands prix held since the 1950 British GP, exactly 500 of them, or 43.40%, have now been won by the driver starting on pole position.
That first world championship grand prix was won from pole, with Giuseppe Farina converting for the win.
Lewis Hamilton holds the record for most wins from pole, accounting for 61 of the 500 wins, with his last coming at the 2021 Saudi Arabian GP.
Check out the table below for every win by grid position, including the driver who started from P22 and won!
