Jos Verstappen has delivered a significant hint about the future of his son Max's F1 career and how it may come to an end.
Earlier this week, Red Bull and Verstappen announced an extended partnership which will see the Dutchman remain at the team until the end of the 2030 campaign.
It has brought an end to the speculation surrounding Verstappen's future, having been linked with a move away from the Milton Keynes-based squad for some time.
Jos, who has remained close to his son throughout his successful F1 career, has hinted that the four-time champion is increasingly likely to end his career with Red Bull.
“Look, ultimately, we’ve been here for an incredibly long time, of course, and it now looks like we’ll continue until the end,” he told Viaplay.
“That’s just great to see. We’re loyal to Red Bull. And there’s a sense of calm again.”
Verstappen highlighted his faith in the future of the team upon re-signing amid its slip in the pecking order this year.
Jos has insisted the pressure is on Red Bull to ensure it can reward Verstappen's faith and quickly return to the front of the field.
“Ultimately, you want to win races,” he said. “So the pressure is on them to simply build a good car for the future.
“We know they can do it. And now? Now we just hope it happens soon.”
