Jos Verstappen's venture at the Rallye des Wallonie came to an early end on Sunday morning.
The 54-year-old veered off the road on Sunday morning during the first stage of the day, after which his Skoda overturned.
The crash was confirmed by the Rallye des Wallonie on its social media platforms.
Images on social media show that Verstappen's car was badly damaged and turned upside down in the incident.
Fortunately, Verstappen and his co-driver during this rally, Jasper Vermeulen, are reported to be uninjured.
Verstappen was without his regular co-driver, Renaud Jamoul, who broke his ankle earlier this week.
Jos, the father of four-time F1 champion Max, was in third position after the first day of running at the rally.
However, he already faced setbacks on Saturday, as he incurred a 40-second time penalty for speeding on a liaison section, dropping him to P17 before Sunday morning's crash.
