Isack Hadjar is set to receive a new Dutch Grand Prix podium trophy after his original broke during the post-race celebrations at Zandvoort.
Hadjar enjoyed a successful outing in the Netherlands last weekend as he secured his maiden podium in F1.
The Racing Bulls rookie was running in fourth place for much of the grand prix before being promoted to the top three when McLaren’s Lando Norris retired with a power unit issue.
Hadjar became the first driver to score a podium for the Red Bull sister team since Pierre Gasly at the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Amid the post-race celebrations, however, the trophy became damaged - much to the amusement of Hadjar and the Racing Bulls team.
Royal Delft, the manufacturer of the trophies of the Dutch Grand Prix, have promised that Hadjar will be given a new trophy to replace the one that was damaged on Sunday.
“Together with the Dutch Grand Prix, Royal Delft wants to ensure that Hadjar receives the trophy he deserves,” a spokesperson for the company told RacingNews365.
“Therefore, we are currently creating a new trophy for him in our atelier in Delft.
“The exact delivery date is not yet known, but we are working hard to complete it as soon as possible.
“In the meantime, Hadjar may keep the damaged trophy as a special memento of his victory.
“Please keep an eye on our communication channels for updates.”
Hadjar’s podium result continued his strong rookie campaign, which has seen him linked with a move to Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen next year.
