It is likely to be a hot weekend throughout the Hungarian Grand Prix, but could some summer rain be on the cards? Rain hit the circuit during qualifying last year which led to the shock first pole for George Russell in the Mercedes. Could we be in for a similar surprise this weekend? Check out the weather forecast below.
RacingNews365's weather partners WeerOnline predicts Friday practice will see sunny weather with a moderate southeast wind, with temperatures rising above 20 degrees in Mogyoród in the morning. Further into the afternoon during the second free practice, the stacked clouds get bigger and grow into thunderstorms. It is then sweltering hot with 29 degrees. This same pattern seems to repeat itself broadly on Saturday, although the showers are likely to be less intense and could miss the circuit. Temperatures will reach 27 degrees and the wind has turned to the west. On Sunday it will likely be dry with temperatures getting as high as 30 degrees in Budapest. The chance of precipitation has decreased from 50% to 5% compared to Saturday.
