It's advantage Ferrari heading into qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

After going second to Max Verstappen in Free Practice 1, Carlos Sainz topped the second practice session, a healthy 0.276s up on the Red Bull - who did get heavy traffic on his fastest lap.

Lando Norris, Sergio Perez and Oscar Piastri were sandwiched between Sainz and Verstappen down in fifth - although Perez spun off late in the second session, beaching himself in the gravel at Parabolica.

Traffic proved a problem at the high-speed Monza circuit, with drivers backing up approaching the final corner to try and make space - with others threading a fine needle through the slow cars.
