Lewis Hamilton has gone on to enjoy an incredible run of success after making the switch from McLaren to Mercedes nine years ago.
Since his 'first day' with the team on 24 January, 2013, Hamilton has racked up a host of achievements and records, spearheaded by six world titles across the sport's turbo-hybrid era, which began a year after his move.
Having won his first F1 title with McLaren in 2008, Hamilton claimed the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 crowns, only missing out in 2016 after a tense battle with teammate Nico Rosberg that prompted the German's retirement.
From 178 races with Mercedes, Hamilton has won 82 of them (a hit rate of 46 per cent), while he has finished on the podium on 133 occasions (equating to a trophy in almost three out of four starts).
Hamilton is now 12 wins clear of Michael Schumacher in F1's all-time victory list with 103 to his name. His first for Mercedes came in Hungary in 2013, with the most recent achieved at last year's Saudi Arabian GP.
It's a similar story in terms of pole positions, with Hamilton's 77 at Mercedes also giving him a grand total of 103. It puts him 35 clear of Schumacher and a further three ahead of childhood hero Ayrton Senna.
