Lewis Hamilton has dismissed former team-mate Nico Rosberg's claim that Chinese Grand Prix qualifying was a 'disaster' as he qualified 18th.
Hamilton locked up on his final lap in Q3 at the hairpin, and lost time, failing to advance out of Q1 for the first time since the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix by less than a tenth in 18th place.

Alonso learns fate over Sainz China sprint summons
Fernando Alonso has been handed a 10 second time penalty and three penalty points for his collision with Carlos Sainz in the Chinese Grand Prix sprint.
On Lap 16, a slow Alonso, hanging onto third place, was passed around the outside by Sainz through Turns 7 and 8, but the Aston Martin driver launched a late-braking move into Turn 9.

Leclerc seeking Sainz talks after Chinese sprint clash
Charles Leclerc has declared that Carlos Sainz was “over the limit” amid their battle for position during the sprint race in China.

Lewis Hamilton has explained how "massive changes" made to his car played a part in his early exit from qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix.
The 39-year-old locked up heading into Turn 14, the hairpin in the final sector of the Shanghai International Circuit, making him run wide and costing over half a second in lap time, which was perhaps in part due to those changes, as confirmed to RacingNews365 by Mercedes.
