Reigning F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton says the Red Bull team, in particular, look strong during the ongoing pre-season test in Bahrain.

The Mercedes squad have not had an easy time over the past two days. The German squad missed a large part of the session during the first session on day one due to a gearbox issue and Hamilton himself struggled on day two after beaching his car and forcing the session to be red-flagged.

Compounding their issues is the pace of several other teams a fact Hamilton is quick to point out.

"Without doubt, it's quite impressive to see the speed of some of the other teams, I think Red Bull are looking particularly strong," Hamilton said to RacingNews365.com among others.

Despite the pace of their rivals and Mercedes' ongoing struggles, Hamilton is confident that the current world champions will overcome their current predicament.

"Worrying, that deters you from finding a solution," Hamilton continued.

"We're just working hard and focusing on getting through the short amount of testing we have and trying to be as efficient as possible as we can with it.

"It's better that it doesn't go smooth now and goes smooth once we get into the racing, so this is the perfect time for us to find the issues and have the problems.

"I think everyone is just keeping their heads down and no one is typically phased by it we're a multi championship winning team and we know how to pull it together."
