Former Alpine F1 driver Jack Doohan has joined Haas as a reserve driver for the 2026 campaign.
Doohan competed at the opening six rounds of the 2025 season with Alpine, having made his debut for the team at the season-ending round in 2024.
However, he was ousted in favour of Franco Colapinto after the Miami Grand Prix but remained part of the Alpine squad.
Earlier this month, Alpine confirmed it had parted ways with Doohan, paving the way for the Australian to embark on a new challenge.
The 23-year-old's next opportunity has come at Haas, where he will carry out reserve driver duties for the team.
“I’m thrilled to be joining TGR Haas F1 Team,” said Doohan. “It’s the ideal place to continue my Formula 1 career.
“I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to grow and take on the great challenge of 2026 together.
“I’m eager to begin working with the team and collaborating on a successful season.’”
Doohan has joined Ryo Hirakawa as a reserve driver at the squad, and offers Haas another option to fall back on should Esteban Ocon or Oliver Bearman be unable to race.
