The FIA has issued a statement in response to the concerns raised over the potential disruption of the Miami Grand Prix this weekend due to thunderstorms.

While Friday and Saturday at the event are expected to be held in hot and sunny conditions, Sunday's race day could be a different affair.

Much-missed element of F1 grid revived for Miami GP with stunning Racing Bulls livery

Racing Bulls have unveiled a vibrant yellow special livery for this weekend's Miami Grand Prix, marking the return of a much-missed colour to the Formula 1 grid for the first time since 2020.

The striking design, inspired by the Red Bull Summer Edition Sudachi Lime energy drink, will adorn the VCARB03 at the Miami International Autodrome, restoring yellow to F1's colour palette after a six-year absence.

FIA makes further changes to F1 regulations

The FIA has introduced additional F1 safety measures for wet-weather racing ahead of this weekend's Miami Grand Prix, with the most significant change being a complete ban on boost mode usage during rainy conditions.

Drivers will no longer be permitted to deploy the boost button, which provides up to 350kW of additional power, when racing in low-grip conditions.

Max Verstappen 'emotional' plea delivered by F1 boss

Stefano Domenicali hopes Max Verstappen can put aside "emotional dimensions" and will stay racing in F1.

The Dutchman has been fierce in his criticism of the new 2026 rules, and across the Japanese GP weekend, indicated that he would be prepared to walk away from grand prix racing, such is his displeasure.

Max Verstappen: 'I'd be an idiot' to block Gianpiero Lambiase Red Bull exit

Max Verstappen believes he would have been "an idiot" to try and block Gianpiero Lambiase's impeding exit from Red Bull. 

During F1's April break, it was announced that Verstappen's long-time engineer Lambiase, would be leaving Red Bull ahead of the 2028 season to take up a senior position at McLaren.

Lance Stroll delivers fierce takedown of 'fake' F1

Lance Stroll has delivered an astonishing takedown of F1's current rules, believing them to be "fake" and describing F3 cars as "1000 times" more exciting.

In a scathing review of the racing product, Stroll felt F1 was "miles off" where he believed it should be and that "F1 was happy" with the situation as people were tuning in to watch grands prix regardless of driver concerns.
