Carlos Sainz set the pace from George Russell and Lando Norris in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Ferrari driver maintained his advantage from FP2 when they made the switch to the Soft tyres in the last half of FP3, with the Spaniard's lap of a 1:32.065 just 0.069s quicker than Russell.

Russell initially set the pace in the Mercedes after the team sent their drivers out on new sets of Soft tyres midway through the session. He later improved his lap in the dying moments of the session to go second quickest ahead of Norris.

Teammate Lewis Hamilton was sixth fastest and two tenths off having lost time in the first sector of the lap, suggesting that he could be carrying more downforce on his car.

Max Verstappen was initially only sixth quickest having completed one timed lap on the Soft tyres, having complained about upshifts after his attempt. Red Bull told him pit to sort the problem and he emerged with the fourth quickest time at the chequered flag but still four tenths down off Sainz.

Sergio Perez was eighth fastest ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Yuki Tsunoda, with the AlphaTauri driver improving at the end of the session.

Red Bull still searching for answers

Rain in the morning washed away a lot of the rubber that was put down during practice on Friday, which meant the drivers had a 'green' track to contend with.

Both Red Bull drivers still complained about balance problems with the RB19, with Verstappen having trouble with his upshifts. His time on the Mediums was quickest initially, before Sainz managed to beat him by four tenths.

Perez meanwhile noticed his car was still "on edge" in the braking zones, with the Mexican diving into the pits in the first quarter of the session to make some further adjustments.

When he came back out he remarked over the team radio: "Still sliding on corner entry, then the front is feeling light under braking."
