Fernando Alonso has detailed conversations he has had with Adrian Newey to try to turn around Aston Martin's poor start to 2026.
From the first seven races, Aston Martin has just one point, through Alonso's 10th in Monaco, but the AMR26 machine has largely been rooted to the bottom of the timesheets as the team struggles with the chassis and engine.

Carlos Sainz 'leaks' unique Max Verstappen Red Bull contract clause
Carlos Sainz has suggested that Max Verstappen has a special clause in his Red Bull F1 contract to limit his marketing and media days.
Modern-day contracts in F1 are usually kept under close guard by drivers and teams, although it is known that Verstappen's deal with Red Bull expires at the end of the 2028 season.

Seven-time F1 race winner René Arnoux has warned George Russell that his future is "in the balance" should he fail to become world champion in 2026, with Mercedes set to re-evaluate its rules of engagement.
Russell was the overwhelming favourite for the drivers' title going into the season but has failed to live up to early expectations, with Kimi Antonelli taking the paddock by surprise.

McLaren admit Mercedes relationship has become F1 2026 disadvantage
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella believes its status as a Mercedes HPP engine customer has placed it on the "backfoot" in the 2026 season.
Of the top four teams - Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull - it is only Stella's McLaren which is not a works team when it comes to the power unit, and buys in a Mercedes HPP supply.

Audi boss Mattia Binotto has proposed a new "unique system" to change the FIA's ADUO system to reflect current chassis technical regulations.
F1 is still awaiting formal communication from its governing body over which of the power unit manufacturers will receive Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities help - with those granted it allowed to bring upgrades to the otherwise homologated power unit designs.

Kimi Antonelli 'seeking answers' after major 2026 F1 breakthrough
Kimi Antonelli has described questions he wants to answer about himself in 2026 after a troubled European leg of the 2025 season.
The Italian has won five of the seven grands prix held in 2026 thus far, and enjoys a 41-point championship lead over Lewis Hamilton and is the favourite to win the drivers' championship.
