A new Grand Prix on the streets of Madrid is set to be announced immediately by Formula 1, according to Spanish publication Okdiario.
The race is suggested to be taking place near to the IFEMA complex that hosted the F1 Exhibition in which the remains of Romain Grosjean's car from the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix were on display and where RacingNews365 visited in April.
Should the race get the green flag, it would commence in 2026 as per the report, with two Grands Prix in Spain that season.
However, the long-term viability of two races in Spain is not believed to be high, which could signal the end of the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona at the Catalunya track that has hosted the race since 1991.
