F1 fans have firmly rejected Zak Brown's description of Max Verstappen as a "bruiser" as the title fight nears its endgame.
Verstappen can be eliminated from the title race at the Las Vegas GP if he is out-scored by Lando Norris by nine points, with the Dutchman prepared to cede his crown.
Verstappen has earned a reputation as a fierce competitor on-track and making it incredibly hard for rivals to overtake him - and sometimes crossing the limit, such as during the 2021 Sao Paulo GP when even Red Bull's then-chief technical officer Adrian Newey admitted he went too far in defending against Lewis Hamilton.
Speaking recently to de Telegraph, Brown described how he felt Verstappen's "arrogance" came out during grands prix.
"I don’t want to disparage Max…. He’s a four-time world champion. He can be a bruiser, too aggressive on track. His arrogance comes out," Brown said.
"If you look at some of the greatest champions in Formula 1, they’ve had some arrogance about them. They get their elbows out."
After the comments, RacingNews365 ran a poll to ask readers if Brown's description of Verstappen was fair, with an overwhelming verdict delivered opposing the American's strong words.
