F1 Academy has released a statement following an incident during testing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
The all-female series confirmed that Alpine F1-supported driver Nina Gademan had been transferred to hospital after an incident.
Gademan, who competes for PREMA Racing with support from Alpine, finished 15th and 10th in the two season-opening races a fortnight ago in Shanghai.
It is the Dutch driver's maiden F1 Academy season, having made two appearances as a wildcard last year at Zandvoort.
F1 Academy confirmed that the 21-year-old was conscious, with the hospital transfer having been for precautionary checks.
The category's statement read: "F1 Academy confirms that an incident occurred today, Saturday 5th April, during testing at Jeddah Corniche Circuit involving the driver of car #3, Nina Gademan.
"Gademan is conscious and has been transferred to King Abdullah Medical Complex for precautionary checks."
