Former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has revealed he has spoken to “every team on the grid” regarding a comeback to F1.
Horner was ousted from his role as Red Bull team boss midway through last year's campaign as the squad endured a rough run of form.
However, it quickly emerged that Horner was seeking a return to the grid, albeit in a more senior role than before.
The Briton has stated that he has not placed all his eggs in one basket and has held conversations with all teams.
“So far, I’ve been going to pretty much every team on the grid,” Horner told Today Show Australia.
“I’ve spoken very little publicly since I left Red Bull.”
In recent weeks, Horner has been increasingly linked with a comeback to Alpine, with Flavio Briatore confirming he has held talks with the 52-year-old.
A 24 per cent stake in the team is currently held by Otro Capital, and is supported by various celebrities - however Otro Capital has been exploring the potential sale of its shares.
Addressing the rumours that he could return to Alpine, Horner said: “It’s flattering that there’s often this speculation that I’m going to this team or that team.
“That [speculation] is rife in F1. I’ll only come back for the right opportunity.
“Working with the right people that are like-minded and want to win. I’ve got no interest in just taking part.”
