The Aston Martin F1 Team name will remain a permanent fixture on the Formula 1 grid after confirmation that the Silverstone-based squad has secured the exclusive right to use Aston Martin’s branding in perpetuity for its grand prix operations.
In a significant move for the long-term future of the project, the team has agreed a new naming rights deal that allows it to continue competing under the ‘Aston Martin F1 Team’ name, while also retaining the ‘Aston Martin’ chassis designation.
The agreement ensures the famous British marque will remain embedded in Formula 1 for generations to come, marking another milestone in the transformation overseen by Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll.
"Today’s acquisition represents an important step in our team’s journey and underlines our commitment to Formula One's exciting future," Stroll said.
"This agreement further strengthens our position as we push to win World Championships in the future, and I couldn’t be prouder to be leading this iconic British institution on the road and the track."
Since rebranding from Racing Point to Aston Martin in 2021, the team has undergone an aggressive period of expansion.
A state-of-the-art factory at Silverstone has been completed, a new wind tunnel is operational, and the organisation has made several high-profile technical hires as it bids to establish itself as a consistent title contender under F1’s cost cap era.
