Oscar Piastri topped the second practice timesheets to end the opening day of the Spanish Grand Prix as fastest.

The championship leader set a 1m 12.760 to be almost three-tenths ahead of George Russell in second.

Four-time world champion Max Verstappen was third, with Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc completing the top five. Verstappen and Norris set identical lap times.
