Oscar Piastri's utter domination of the Bahrain Grand Prix has earned him a perfect 10 in the RacingNews365 driver ratings.

The Australian recorded a hat-trick of pole, win and fastest lap in Sakhir, only being denied a grand chelem after not leading three laps during the pit-stop cycles.

In contrast, Lando Norris had a poor weekend, with his rating just 5.5.

Read below to find out the full rankings from Bahrain, and let us know what your rankings are in the comments!

The top five

Oscar Piastri - 10

Faultless throughout the weekend and put in the best overall performance of his career. Utter domination that will lead to a virtuous circle, one that his team-mate badly needs to snap in Saudi Arabia - a track which should favour Piastri's commitment over Norris in high-speed corners.

George Russell - 10

A stunning lap to take P2 on the road in qualifying, with the team error in Q2 that cost him one spot not being held against him. Racey off the line before settling down, and did a phenomenal job to manage the failing Mercedes electronics caused by a brake-by-wire fault. Nice defence on Norris to maintain P2, given everything going on.

Pierre Gasly - 9.5

Normally, Gasly would be ear-marked for a 10, and indeed he was after qualifying fifth fastest, starting fourth, before finishing seventh after being passed, as expected, by the faster cars of Norris, Hamilton and, on the last lap, Verstappen. Loses half-a-mark for being 0.003s behind Antonelli in qualifying and 0.041s behind Leclerc - which would have meant a front-row, but a sterling effort in a difficult car.

Charles Leclerc - 8.5

An extraordinary job to drag the Ferrari to the front-row after Russell's penalty, but lost out at the start and was shuffled down to fourth after Russell and Norris barged past. Strong pace on mediums and a staunch defence against Norris late on for the final podium spot, but the McLaren was always going to pass.

Max Verstappen - 7.5

Stealing sixth away from Gasly on the final lap was a scant reward as Red Bull came back down to earth with a sizeable thump after Suzuka. Complaining of brake problems all week, but pulled off the best job he could, and is still only eight points behind Norris in the drivers' standings. A fine rescue effort.

The bottom five

Lando Norris - 5.5

A messy, messy weekend. It started when he fumbled in Q3, leaving him P6, but a feisty start had him third by Turn 4 - although he was hit with a needless penalty for being out of position on the grid. Overtook Hamilton outside track limits which cost him a further lap to attack Leclerc and Russell for P2. Eventually got Leclerc after yet another mistake, before blocked by Russell on the final lap. Quick but erratic, and needs to stop the slump.

Fernando Alonso - 5

Nothing overly wrong with his weekend, where no driver across the field had a really poor event. As such, the score is given as a par as Aston Martin struggles with the AMR25. Did fall back two places from where he started.

Lance Stroll - 5

Nothing overly wrong with his weekend, where no driver across the field had a really poor event. As such, the score is given as a par as Aston Martin struggles with the AMR25.

Gabriel Bortoleto - 5

Nothing overly wrong with his weekend, where no driver across the field had a really poor event. As such, the score is given as a par.

Liam Lawson - 4

Lawson was the unfortunate victim of two FIA penalties for causing collisions which did seem a little harsh. He also copped three penalty points for his troubles. But was still comfortably out-qualified by Hadjar and but did finish ahead on the road, so earns half a mark back.
