The Australian pipped teammate Lando Norris by just 0.08secs to secure an all McLaren front row for the first time in 11 years.

Max Verstappen could manage only third for Red Bull ahead of George Russell's Mercedes.

Ferrari duo Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc headed Haas' Nico Hulkenberg, with Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon rounding out the top 10 for Red Bull, Aston Martin and Alpine.
