Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc topped the timesheets in Friday's second practice session for the Australian Grand Prix, edging out Red Bull rival Max Verstappen.
Leclerc and Verstappen, who shared the first two victories of the season in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, were separated by 0.245 seconds at the end of the hour's running.
Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez followed their teammates in third and fifth respectively, with the Alpine of Fernando Alonso slotting between them.
Mercedes had another low-key session, with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton placing 11th and 13th, while Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel was unable to post a time after his FP1 stoppage – as mechanics worked on fitting a new engine.
