Carlos Sainz set the pace for Ferrari as Formula 1 returned to action in Australia for the first time since the 2019 season.
Sainz's best time of 1:19.806 around the modified Albert Park Circuit put him half a second clear of teammate Charles Leclerc, with Red Bull's Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen following in third and fourth respectively.
Lewis Hamilton was back in seventh for Mercedes, 1.2s off the pace, with McLaren's Lando Norris and Alpine's Esteban Ocon also slotting ahead of him.
