Yuki Tsunoda is set to celebrate his 100th grand prix entry by starting last on the Canadian Grand Prix grid.

Tsunoda knew before qualifying that he was set for a 10-place grid penalty after stewards handed him the demotion for overtaking Oscar Piastri under red flags in FP3.

He was also handed two penalty points.

In Q2, Tsunoda did briefly climb into the top 10, but was ultimately 11th in the segment.

This means that with his sanction, he will drop to P20 and last on the grid as he becomes the first Japanese driver to reach 100 entries, although he has only made 96 starts with three DNS recorded.
