Williams halved its financial loss in the 2025 financial year, after enjoying its best season on-track in a decade.
Official legal documents submitted to Companies House show the team posted a loss, before tax of £19.644 million GBP, which, when tax was applied, gave a loss of £25.115 million for the year ending December 31st.
This was a fall from a pre-tax loss of £42.251 million in the 2024 period, which was a total loss of £49.896 million.
It means Williams posted a loss 50.32% less in 2025 than in 2024, with a chunk of the loss being absorbed by greater prize money from Formula One Management for its 2025 showing, in which it finished fifth in the standings as opposed to ninth in 2024.
The team enjoyed its most successful campaign on-track in 2025 since 2016, with new signing Carlos Sainz scoring two grand prix podiums in Azerbaijan and Qatar, in addition to third in the United States GP Sprint - Williams' first podium in a Sprint.
Williams derives its income from championship prize money and commercial sponsorship.
This is evidenced by its turnover in 2025, which was £243.976 million GBP, a climb from £179.776 million GBP in 2024, a rise of £64.2 million GBP.
After cost of sales were factored in, it left Williams with a gross profit of £93.809 million GBP in 2025, a rise from £72.576 million GBP in 2024 - although it did register sales around £43 million greater in 2025 than 2024.
After assets were calculated, it means the team had £98.595 million in cash reserves in 2025, compared to £130.077 million in 2024.
In the documents, director Matthew Savage explained that the overall 2025 loss was "in line with expectations."
"Whilst the group remains in a loss position, this is in line with expectations and the group's strategy to continue investing in all areas of the business to drive both on-track and commercial performance in pursuit of success in the medium and long-term," he said.
Savage also pointed to the array of new sponsors as a "vote of confidence" in the team.
"In a further vote of confidence in the team's ambition and momentum, the team added several major new commercial partners into the 2026 season: Barclays, Anthropic, BNY, Wilkinson Sword, Estrella Galicia, Nuveen, New Era and Giraud-Perregaux," continued the statement.
Williams has also invested in its driver academy to help create the "champions of the future", and indicated that the Williams group will "continue to expand its industry-leading STEM schools outreach programme which brought more than 12,000 8-to-16 year-olds to our Grove HQ free of charge to experience STEM careers through the lens of motorsport."
The team also grew its headcount in 2025 to 1,151 people, a climb of around 200.
Other UK-based F1 teams are required to share their financial records for the year by Wednesday, September 30th, including Alpine, McLaren, and Red Bull.
Red Bull's accounts should show the figures paid to Christian Horner and Helmut Marko on their departures.
Mercedes filed its accounts in June, with F1 doing so last week, and is available here.
