Formula 1 will hold its 2021 pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit. Testing will take place between 12 March and 14 March, and at only three days is much shorter than in previous years.
Whilst the winter test traditionally takes place in Barcelona, it was moved to Bahrain this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as it means that the teams can remain there before the first race of the year on 28 March.
Each day during the test will consist of eight hours of testing, which will begin at 08:00 CET. The morning session will last until 12:00 CET. After a short break, the afternoon session begins at 13:00 CET and lasts until 17:00 CET. As the Bahrain Grand Prix is held during the night, the final part of testing on each day will be run after the sunset.
