The #8 Toyota stormed to a home victory in Hypercar at WEC's Six Hours of Fuji, coming from eighth on the grid as Ryo Hirakawa took the chequered flag.
Victor Martins came painstakingly close to clinching the win from pole position in changeable conditions at the Fuji Speedway in the #36 Alpine.
BMW claimed a podium, with Dries Vanthoor completing the final stint in the #15 entry, alongside Raffaele Marciello and former F1 driver Kevin Magnussen.
In LMGT3, the #32 Team WRT entry took class victory, ahead of the #27 Heart of Racing machine and the Racing Team Turkey By TF #34 car.
However, the first- and third-place finishers are under investigation for contact with other cars, so the results in LMGT3 could still change significantly.
