Lewis Hamilton looked on course to finally break his Ferrari podium drought in Mexico City, until receiving a 10-second time penalty.
Running third and under pressure from Max Verstappen, the Dutchman barged into Hamilton at Turn 1, cut the grass at Turns 2 and 3, and then did not cede position at Turn 4.
Instead, Verstappen slowed down in the braking zone, but not enough to give Hamilton a proper line into the corner, forcing him into the run-off after a lock-up, emerging well ahead after the off.
However, crucially, he did not fall back to 'lose' the advantage he had gained, and the stewards awarded him a 10-second penalty, which all but ruined his race, coming home eighth.
But what do you think about Hamilton's penalty? Was it fair?
