Video: What does the Mercedes F1 simulator look like?

While you could possibly build your own driving simulator for a few hundred euros, Formula 1 teams spend millions trying to develop their simulators. Watch the video to find out just how complicated an F1 sim is.

With Alex Albon set to be Red Bull's reserve and development driver, the British Thai will no doubt see his fair share of action in the simulator this year.

While the work done in an F1 simulator might seem easy enough, it is anything but. Drivers must be well versed in providing valuable feedback to the team so that their race drivers are able to recreate the actual dynamics out on the track.

In the video below, Anthony Davidson steps into the Mercedes simulator and provides insight into what his day looks like, including how he looks at images of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in order to recreate their behaviour.

The video can be viewed below, enjoy!
