Verstappen unveils 'retro' helmet ahead of Italian GP

The World Champion has changed his helmet to a throwback design as he seeks a record 10th Grand Prix in a row.

Max Verstappen has unveiled a new helmet that harks back to his karting days as he closes in on a third Formula 1 title. The Red Bull driver admitted the change was a "little unexpected" but that he had been working on the design "for a couple of months to make it perfect." The design is a throwback to the initial designs Verstappen wore in go-karting as well as that of his father, Jos. While the overall design of Verstappen's helmet is similar, it is the finer details that have been tweaked. One thing the Dutchman pointed out was the 'V' on the front of the helmet, which is now closer together than in previous designs. What do you make of Max Verstappen's new helmet?
