Aston Martin chief trackside officer Mike Krack has confirmed that there will be no more major upgrades fitted to the AMR26 package this year.
The Silverstone-based squad has endured a highly challenging campaign, languishing towards the rear of the field.
It has scored just three points across the season and only sits above newcomer Cadillac in the constructors' championship as the year enters its final stretch.
Aston Martin brought a major upgrade package to Hungary earlier this year, which is set to serve as its only big update.
"Enrico [Cardile, chief technical officer] made it quite clear that we will not bring a big upgrade package anymore," Krack told media including RacingNews365.
"But if there are insights in the wind tunnel, where we can do small steps, like we have done for Monza.
"Some small changes on the floor or on the bargeboards - these kind of things.
"We will continue to do these things, but I don't think that we will have a big, big package anymore.”

Krack details comparison challenges
While the Budapest upgrade offered Aston Martin a step forward in performance, it has continued to face woes, with that event in Hungary being the last time both of its cars saw the chequered flag.
Krack highlighted that there is an ever-moving goalpost in F1, making comparisons to other teams so difficult.
"At the end of the day, the track is just validating your tests that you do at home on the rigs and the simulations,” he said.
"So all of this is working. Sometimes you think you are less competitive or more competitive, and you often relate it directly to new parts or old parts.
"But you must not forget that the one you compare to is also changing. Other people are changing their cars.
"So you compare to them, and you do not really always know - 'have they improved or are we going slower?'
"Doing that exercise takes quite a lot of time. It's done at the factory, not at the racetrack. So you need to always carefully analyse."
