Red Bull star Max Verstappen believes there are differences between the RB16B and the RB16, stating that modifications to the floor of the new car will affect handling.
After driving the RB16B for the first time on the Silverstone race circuit, the Dutchman shared his first thoughts on Red Bull's 2021 Formula 1 challenger.
“Of course there are differences, the main one being the floor," Verstappen said on his official website.
"A large section has been removed which will affect the handling. But that wasn't what today was all about. It was all about getting a feel for the car and get a first impression. The real work starts in Bahrain.”
Verstappen is also hopeful that the current calendar isn't affected greatly by the coronavirus, though he thinks 23 races is a bit much.
"That's a lot (the number of races), but we'll have to see how things work out," the Dutchman said.
"I hope we can run the calendar as it is scheduled and it won't be as packed like last year. We knew it had to be done, but it wasn't ideal. We'll see what happens this year but we are focussed to make the most of it, together with Honda. I know everyone will give their all to achieve our goals."
