According to a poll carried out by the official Formula 1 website after the Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has been the best driver in the first half of the 2021 season.
Fans were invited to partake in the poll, which asked them to vote on who they felt had been the top performers over the first eleven races in 2021.
Title contender Verstappen topped the poll, although on the same score as the driver voted into second place. Surprisingly, this wasn't championship leader Lewis Hamilton. Instead, it was McLaren's Lando Norris, with the young Brit one of the stars throughout the first half of the season.
Indeed, Hamilton could only place eighth in the poll, with George Russell, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso all voted higher than him.
The bottom ten, unfortunately, remain a mystery...
