Verstappen reveals unique helmet design for Brazilian GP

Max Verstappen has shown the helmet design he'll be using for this weekend's race at Interlagos.

Max Verstappen has shown off his helmet design for this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix, which is being held at Interlagos in Brazil.

The Dutch driver, like title rival Lewis Hamilton, has chosen a bespoke design for this weekend's race. Verstappen has a personal connection to Brazil, as his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet is the daughter of Brazilian F1 legend Nelson Piquet.

"It's Brazil time and a special helmet design," Verstappen explained in his online reveal.

"So I thought I would spice it up a bit, make it a bit more interesting.

"Normally, my helmets have been quite plain but I think this represents a bit of Carnival as well in the helmet and I think it worked out really well.

"[There's] a lot of green but I think, for Brazil, if you look at the flag, it makes sense!"
