Charles Leclerc scored a notable double ahead of this weekend's Austin Grand Prix.
Ferrari driver Leclerc finished both hour-long Friday practice sessions at the Circuit of the Americas at the top of the timesheet, although it was a close-run situation at the end of FP2.
Leclerc set a leading lap of one minute 35.291s, finishing just 0.042s ahead of Mercedes champion-in-waiting Kimi Antonelli, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen closing out the top three, 0.189s off the pace of the Monégasque.
Lewis Hamilton was next up in his Ferrari, albeit six-tenths of a second adrift of his Scuderia team-mate.
