Verstappen reveals one concern after dominant Suzuka drive claims Red Bull title

It's a 13th win of the year for Max Verstappen - and a sixth title for Red Bull.

Max Verstappen has revealed the one minor concern he had about his dominant drive in the Japanese Grand Prix that secured Red Bull the 2023 title. From pole position, Verstappen was largely untroubled at Suzuka, easing to a 13th victory of the season to put him on the cusp of a third Drivers' crown. But it was enough to secure Red Bull its sixth Constructors' Championship - retaining the title it won in 2022 with six rounds remaining in the season. It was not all plain-sailing as the World Champion suffered an issue at the start that almost let Lando Norris through for the lead.

"It has been an unbelievable weekend, and to win here is great," Verstappen said. "The car was working really well on every compound but the most important thing was to also win the Constructors'. "I'm very proud of everyone working at the track but also back at the factory. "We are having an incredible year, and I am very proud of everyone. "I probably had a bit too much wheelspin at the start, but after that, it was quite a straightforward race."
