Max Verstappen is now tied for second all-time with Michael Schumacher in terms of grand prix wins with the same team following his success in the Bahrain GP.
Verstappen's victory at Sepang was his 72nd for Red Bull, drawing level with Schumacher's 72 for Ferrari between 1996 and 2006, a stay in which he claimed a record five straight drivers' titles between 2000-2004.
Verstappen's win, his first for Red Bull since the 2025 Abu Dhabi GP also means he has joined Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton as the only drivers to win a grand prix in 10 successive seasons.
Hamilton is now the only driver in grand prix history to win more races for a single team than Verstappen at Red Bull.
Between his 2013 Hungarian GP and 2024 Belgian GP successes, Hamilton won a total of 84 times for Mercedes, eclipsing Schumacher's record of 72 with his 73rd at the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix - the day he won his seventh world title, equalling Schumacher's tally.
With Verstappen putting pen to paper on a new long-term Red Bull deal earlier this year, and with only 13 more wins required to pass Hamilton at Mercedes, it is likely he will grab the record for himself by the time he either leaves Red Bull or retires.
